Two Year Blogoversary

So, I know that I have been pretty inactive lately and I apologise so much for that. I've just been in this horrible slump and haven't had any motivation to write reviews for the books I've been reading (yes, I have been reading a lot :D)

But! Since I totally forgot about my blogoversary last year, I felt that I needed to make a post about this year and make up for last year with a double giveaway!! I love you guys so much and you all deserve a chance to receive a gift for your awesome support.

I would also like to know what it is you guys would like to see more of this year (besides more frequent posts ;)) I want to spice my blog up a bit and I would also like to find something that will get me out of this horrible slump I've been in. So send me your suggestions!! I'd love to hear them all :)

  1. Congratulations on your second blogoversary, Tia!! Thanks so much for the giveaway :) You could try doing some discussion posts where you talk about bookish topics like how you control your TBR or your reading genre evolution if you started out liking one genre but you like another currently. Back when I was in a blogging slump a few months ago, I felt like just spending time talking about what I wanted to talk about instead of feeling obligated to write reviews helped me so much! Maybe it'll help you out too :)

    1. Thank you so much!!

And yeah, I have considered doing discussion posts but I never know what to talk about and I am afraid that people will think it's cliche if I talk about things that have already been discussed a lot....but you're right. I do need to start focusing on what I want to post and not feel obligated

  2. Congrats on making it to 2 years of blogging, Tia! If I were to suggest a new feature for your blog I would say I'd love to see a regular underrated books post which features books that relatively unknown or underrated by the general public and that you'd love for your readers to check out. I love this sort of post because I'm always after new books but I can easily find out what's hot on Goodreads so I'd rather find some gems that I otherwise wouldn't have known existed.
Keep up the fantastic work and happy blogging!!

    1. Oh that's a really great idea! I tend to read a lot of the lesser known books since I usually get my books from the library :)

    2. I really like that idea, as well. I see so many reviews of books that basically don't even need them because they are on the bestseller list even before they are published because of promotion and the author's name. But there are a lot of great books that kind of fly under the radar. I just read one called The Book of Laney by Myfanwy Collins. It's dark, about a girl whose brother commits an act of mass violence, but I thought it was really well written and kind of different from a lot of other books in a refreshing way. It has an element of magical realism that didn't work that well for me, but the writing was really good. So that's a book I found in an independent bookstore in Massachusetts that I otherwise would never have heard of. But it was better than a lot of the books I've read lately that have had tons of hype.

  3. Happy 2 years blogging, Tia, congrats girl!! I'd love to see a "If you liked this then try this" sort of post because after finishing a great book I find myself in a reading slump and I long for a book that was just as great to the one I read prior so this would be perfect for that! Thanks for the giveaway! :) :)

    1. Thank you!!

What about adding a few books to the bottom of a review? Like if they liked the book reviewed then they would like these

  5. Happy blogoversary! For new features, I would definitely suggest recommendation posts, for both books and other media, such as TV shows, music, or movies!
